Volunteer for ISTE Second Life

There are many opportunities for volunteering for ISTE's Second Life project. Here are some of the most popular:

ISTE Docent: Staff ISTE's HQ building throughout the week by greeting new avatars, serving as a resource for group members, and encouraging community and networking. Our most popular volunteer position.

ISTE Social Chair: Help organize ISTE's weekly socials by suggesting themes for discussion, coordinating field trips, and welcoming new members.

ISTE Speaker Series Chair: Serve as a coordinator for ISTE's twice monthly speaker series--invite and prep speakers, launch advertising campaigns, and serve as moderator of sessions.

SL NECC Volunteer: Welcome members at the opening reception, staff the SL playground, or host a demo or discussion in the SL lounge. Visit the SL Volunteer page for more info!

Add your favorite media clips and applications to your wiki in three easy steps:

Go to your favorite video clip, podcast, or embedded application. Anything from Google Calendar to Odeo to YouTube!
Find the HTML code to paste into your site. This will be found in a text box labeled "Embed", "Embed HTML", "Add to My Site/Blog", "Link to this page", or similar.
Paste in the HTML below and click "Preview" to see how it will look. When you save your changes by clicking the "Save" button, your media clip or application will appear in your Wikispaces page.
