Teens on the Main Grid: a panel discussion
As we know, Teen Second Life residents that turn 18 are required to leave the teen grid forever. The process of doing so, called a "transfer" or "bridging," brings these young adults onto the main grid to (presumably) continue their Second Life. It also means leaving their friends behind and essentially starting over in unfamiliar territory. As educators, we thought it would be fascinating to hear from recent teens who have bridged, to get their honest impressions of Second Life's value in terms of its social life, educational experiences, commercial potential and overall community. Come to this session for a lively discussion with recent main grid transfers Aesop Thatch, Asuka Martin, Mercury Metropolitan and Mariel Voyunicef.
